Iceland 2010

A collection of posts from my trip around Iceland with my son and my brother in May 2010.

Our general plan is to take a 4×4 vehicle around the island.  Starting from Reykjavik will drive clockwise around the island.  We will drive to Blonduos, Akureyri, Egilsstadir, Höfn, Kirkjubaejarklaustur and then back to Reykjavik.

Daily Posts:

Day 0 – Eindhoven – Reykjavík , Iceland

Day 2 – The Golden Circle, Iceland

Day 3 – On the road again

Day 4 – Missed it by 40 KM

Day 5 – Leaving our mark on Iceland

Day 6 – Is it fjord or fjörður

Day 7 – A day of prepositions!

Day 8 – Are we going to get candy now?

Day 9 – Finishing with a bang!

I have begun to post pictures at our Flickr site.  Click here.

We planned our trip prior to the recent volcano eruptions.  So we have had to track the information closely.  Here are some websites we check each morning:
